1. Basis

(1) The Education Bureau of the Taipei City Government promulgated the key points for extracurricular club assignments in elementary schools in Taipei City Education Bureau No. 09334049100 on June 2, 1993.
(2) The Education Bureau of the Taipei City Government issued an amended letter No. 10043565500 issued by the Taipei City Government Education Bureau on October 11, the 100th year of the Republic of China, promulgating the key points for the extracurricular club assignments in elementary schools.

2. Purpose

(1) In order to take into account the lifestyle of parents in this city, solve the problem of students having no one to take care of them after school, so that parents can find jobs with peace of mind, organize extracurricular activities for children to promote the healthy growth of children.
(2) Provide rich learning courses, students’ adaptive group learning and diverse learning and art activities.
(3) Plan diversified academic activities, allow teachers who meet the teaching qualification requirements to participate in the education scene, and students can choose courses according to their interests to develop students' learning potential.
(4) Combine community resources to provide reasonable, popular, and high-quality after-school clubs so that students can receive proper care and parents can work with peace of mind.

3. Implementation principles

(1) Voluntary participation: Students who need to receive extracurricular club services should be voluntary and parents' wishes should be respected.
(2) Diversified academic activities: Extracurricular club courses are based on the principle of diversified planning, and the content takes into account artistic skills, technology and physical activities.
